About us
In a small town in Puglia, Zollino, in the heart of Grecìa Salentina, was born the idea of an artisan company to embrace the cultural roots and richness of local tradition, with the aim of preserving, making people know and taste the ancient food and wine tradition of the Griko-Salento culture, made up of authentic recipes of the women of our land. Thus was born the “BoEega dei Kuffiàri”, whose name takes us back to the ancient griko and recalls the nickname that the neighboring towns gave to the inhabitants of the village, the “kuffiàri,” that means “the pranksters” / “the jokers”.



Mission
The passion for good food and the desire to make our traditions tasted by an ever-larger clientele, pushed us to cooperate in synergy with artisan realities of our area.
Indeed, we have understood that today, more than ever, we need farmers, people who love the soil but above all the wise hands of our artisans. In our shop we immediately aimed at takeaway gastronomy, testing directly with our trusted customers the goodness of the products, especially of ready meals. Italians’ love for pasta has outlined the way. Hence the idea of focusing on one of the products best known in the world and on a series of snacks among the most appreciated and consumed in our region.
It is for this reason that we have included a wide range of branded products in our catalogue KUFFIÀRI, designed and dedicated to the world of catering and food service, to offer quality and practicality to industry professionals, reason why we chose freezing as a preservation method for most of our products.

Brand
The Kuffiàri brand also wants to aggregate all the small producers of essential 0 km raw material to guarantee the final result of food and wine offer that we are ready to make know and appreciate in Italy and in foreign countries.
A job that allows us to witness a life changing, starting from the resources of our country and also teaching the younger generations that it’s time to give value to our local tradition, looking at the future.
